[ And a little more hotly, than she perhaps wants to be. Thank-god she was not fair, that it hides the flush she could feel working up her throat. Hot, slippery, a path that was easy to fall down. Because her temper had never been her best trait, and it had aged no better. Sharp at edges. ]

( Leaning down a little lower, closer, Magni tilts her head very slightly. )

And now I know even more names.

( Murmured, before her smile sharpens, almost mischievous. )

[ This was a mistake, and she should leave, as quickly as she could, because there was a temptation here. Cool as deep water, and as easy to sink into. Even if it were memories enough to make it warm - the thought that all that snow might not be so hard to endure if there was a steady heat to counter it. ]

And yet, still not all of them. [ A reminder for herself. She steps back, out of that space before it drives her to recklessness ( another flaw, somewhere above her temper but below affection. ) ] You ought to come to a dinner I wish to have.

As thanks for agreeing to make sure a unique blade. Not all would have wanted the opportunity, I know.

( A vague gesture with her hand. She's not sure how to express her displeasure. )

( It seems like it should be a melodramatic statement. Somehow, it is not. ) I will refine for proper version. Higher quality materials.

[ A soft shake, how foolishly boys reached for glittering things over solid craftsmanship. Unable to know what would truly be worthy of them in their greed. ]

( A sideways sort of nod - acknowledgement, agreement. Maybe she will try to work a design into the blade. Maybe she will try to make it... unique, beyond what it already is.

Her brow quirks a little at bringing it dinner, but it's more curious than anything. )

As you wish. When should I attend?

In a few evenings from now, around the first evening bell. My quarters are - [ and she says them, pointing at the tower where in particular she sleeps. ]

Do you have any preferences with food? I will be cooking.

( Registering the residence, Magni remains quietly confused by the invitation, but not really bothered by that confusion.

As for the next point... Preferences?

Her mouth opens, closes, and she considers, shrugs. )

I eat what I am given.

Are you sure? I have many, like for one, I do not eat meat when I do not have too.

[ Smiling softly, she knows how most foreigners respond to such a thing. Like Bronach's abject horror at the notion. ]

( A quiet, thoughtful "huh." Interesting. )

Warrior queen who does not want to take lives of animals to dine?

( Genuinely interesting, not weird interesting. )

[ There's... a great deal more to it than that, she supposes, but even so - ]

[ But, she twitches a little, the soft flicker of a smile. ]

( Magni’s smile echoes, and she is thoughtful a moment before she replies, )

[ She rolls her eyes. ]

( A faint smile, and she

doesn't wink conspiratorially, but somehow that vibe is there. In the silence, the small edge of a smile, a little shrug with only one shoulder. )

[ Lakshmi shakes her head. But enough then, she passes the back blade. ]
